Gospel, the great classics. With Max Zita and the Gospel Voices Quartet<p> <strong>Max Zita</strong><br> Born in Guadeloupe, Max ZITA began playing music at the age of 4, in the choir of the Protestant Adventist Temple of which his father was the director.<br> At 16, he created his first gospel choir "Pléiades", as a guitarist, singer, and composer.<br> At the age of 20, he went to Paris to solidify his musical knowledge and enrich his understanding of African American music: Spirituals, Gospel, Blues, Rhythm and Blues, by taking courses at the University of Paris VIII, where he obtained his degree in Musicology. With his diploma in hand, he became a music teacher.<br><br> <strong>The Gospel Voices</strong><br> Max began his gospel career in 1987 by co-directing a young gospel choir, "Gospel Chords Singers". A year later, he decided to strike out on his own and created "Gospel Voices".<br> He is one of the pioneers of the gospel movement in France with Gospel Voices and also the artistic creator of the original concept "Gospel for 100 Voices" in 1998.<br> In 2019, the Maestro organized two days of incredible concerts at the Olympia in Paris.<br><br></p>
